Our Paper Straws are Made in the USA

We thought it was important to let you know that not all paper straws are made the same. Paper straws that are imported often claim they use “safe inks”. The base ink may be safe by itself, but the colorants added and the process they use to dry the inks are questionable. Some imported straws now carry a true warning of “For decorative purposes only.” The straws we sell are 100% safe, made in the USA, 67% thicker than imported straws, and will not bleed into your drink, making our straws stronger and safer than the imports. We DO NOT sell imported straws! We only carry Aardvark® straws and here’s why:

  • They are made from sustainable FSC/SFI papers, every Aardvark product is eco-friendly and compostable, with the ability to decompose in just 30-45 days.
  • They have been independently certified as compostable.
  • Aardvark is the only paper straw company to use 100% FDA and EU food-grade approved materials and the only FDA and EU-approved manufacturer of paper drinking straws.
  • They are GMO free.
  • They contain 1/3 more material than competing straws, meaning they will last even longer in your drinks without degrading or getting soggy.

It is important to us that our products are 100% safe for consumers, their family, friends and guests to use, which is why we have always sold paper straws that are made in the USA and are safe for you and your family. Shop our straws here.

*Compliance and Compost Certification documents are available upon request.

Thank you! I am very careful about what comes into contact with my food. I try to buy USA or Europe whenever possible, even if it costs more.
