So good to see that people are learning to process their own healthy food.

We are right in the middle of gardens and orchards. Love preserving things for gifts and eating!

This is my first summer in the tiny house that I built. Living in 240 sq ft means no freezer space and so everything is being canned! Today I am canning OK freestone peaches. I made sure to build a small pantry in my tiny house to hold all my canning.

I am so blessed to be helped by a local food band. When possible, I am given extra and I am thrilled to make preserves to give to all the volunteers, 20 – 30 people as they rotate and we are always having new volunteers. The only problem I have is, I never seem to have enough jars! Darn! I don’t always get the jars back (even though I do write on the top of the jar “please return jar” and it has become difficult to purchase them as I am older and on Social Security and on very limited funds. I even have advertised at my local Craig’s List for any glass OR canning jars, but have only had one response in 2 years and that was for about 500 lids and rings but never any jars! I hope I win these jars for the volunteers!
