A Fillmore Container Mission — Restore, Reuse, and Rejuvenate

SHARE THIS PAGE:

Fillmore Container has a rich history of supporting communities on local and global levels. We restored hope to an African community by providing them with a well, their first source of purified drinking water. We help families reuse by working with Family-to-Family, a non-profit organization that encourages families to share the bounty. We work to rejuvenate our young people by contributing to the Girl Scouts of the USA and Boy Scouts of America.

We’ve chosen our next community project, but we need your help! We need your vote to secure a $250,000 grant from Chase and LivingSocial. The grant will help us support our local community with a project that will restore a historic building (circa 1776); practice and teach reuse lifestyle habits; and rejuvenate a community with a gathering place for education, events, and the arts. We are calling this initiative the Lampeter House Project.

The Lampeter House Project will provide a value to our community that supports the historic missions of Chase and LivingSocial — leveraging a legacy of financial stability and philanthropy along with helping everyday people find, share, and enjoy the best of their neighborhoods.

Vote for Fillmore Container and you will:

  1. Help employ local resources and craftsmen to preserve and restore a blighted, historical, landmark property, with repo rted ties to the Underground Railroad, in Lampeter, Pa.
  2. Provide a meeting place, education space, and commercial kitchen for use by locals in acommunity-cafe setting, with a strong focus on the Lancaster Buy Fresh Buy Local program.
  3. Enable us to apply and teach environmental responsibility through green business practices, workshop offerings, and cooperative programs with local schools and businesses that educate sustainable dining and living.

Help us to restore, reuse, and rejuvenate a community landmark by voting for Fillmore Container. Visit www.missionsmallbusiness.com. After clicking “Log In & Support” on the home page, search for “Fillmore” and vote for us! While you’re there, be sure to “Like” us on Facebook!

We would LOVE to have you as new neighbors!! What a great use for that building. It's so unfortunate to have such a great resource sit there unused. Looking forward to the project. Please let us know what we might do to help.
